Where can you find bra accessories for your bra? Best Bra has everything you need to make sure that your bra is in perfect condition. We have a range of bra accessories, such as straps, cups and extenders that will help you achieve the look that’s right for you.

Bra extender

You would use bra bra extenders if the band of your bra is too large and you want to extend it by a few more inches so that it sits comfortably on your body without feeling loose or riding up at all.

This will help provide additional support in larger bra sizes where there may be less bra bra support.

Bra extenders are a great way to get a longer life out of bras that have become too tight through the band. You get them as 1, 2, 3 or 4 hook options to fit different bras.

They usually come in black, white and beige to blend in with the most common bra colours. To use them simply attach it to one end of the back fastening on your bra then put it on and do it up as normal.

Bra extenders are cheap and easy to find in most lingerie stores, they are often in sewing supply stores and are sold online on many sites including Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk

Sometimes the spacing between the hooks in a row can be different, see the two different 2 hook options in the top image for an example.

Bra strap cushions or pads

Bra strap cushions or pads slip onto your existing bra straps to provide comfort if they dig into your shoulders or can help stop straps from falling off your shoulders. Before you use them first make sure you have your bra straps set to the right length, most of the support in a bra comes from the band around your body, not the straps. The straps should be taut (not hanging) but shouldn’t be too tight, if you have an indentation left on your shoulders after wearing them they are too tight.

However, you may not like how they feel. They are available in most lingerie shops and may also be purchased on Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk

Bra strap connector / holder

The names will vary, but the device is typically known as a bra strap converter, bra strap connector, or bra strap holder.

They can be worn in the back or front of the bra to hold the straps together.

They are similar to a racer back clip in use. They can stop straps slipping off your shoulders and pull straps out of the way for clothing where they would normally show.

They aren’t as easy to find in stores, you can get them online on websites like Amazon but they aren’t as common as racerback clips. You can also produce your own at home.

Bra inserts

Bra inserts are also known as bra padding or cookies. Silicone chicken fillets may be called “chicken fillets” owing to their resemblance to them. They are frequently marketed as a non-surgical alternative to augment your bra size.

To push your breasts up and fill out the bra, they sit in the bottom of the bra cups. They come in a variety of sizes and forms and are generally manufactured from foam or silicone rubber, though they may also be liquid or gel filled.

They may be used with a push-up bra to boost cleavage, and they also have the appearance of larger breasts.

Silicone molds to your shape and grips against your skin better than a cloth and foam mold. If you’re concerned about them falling out, silicone is the way to go.

Some bras will have pockets for adding padding, which is another way to keep them from slipping out.

Breast pads – nipple covers

Breast pads are also known as nipple covers. They do exactly what it says on the tin, they cover your nipples to stop them showing through clothing or bra lining.

They come in a variety of styles and colours but most will be made from cotton with an adhesive strip at one end so you can stick them onto the bra where needed.

They are often worn in bra cup sizes that are slightly too small or with a bra where the lining is thin, allowing nipples to show through.

You can also get pasties which do the same job but may be more effective for larger breasts. They have adhesive on both sides and you wear them over your nipple rather than inside the bra cups.

Nursing pads for bras

Nursing pads are designed to absorb milk leaking from your breasts as a result of breastfeeding. They come in bra sized packs and can be worn inside bra cups or on top of them so you don’t have to worry about finding the right size.

They usually have adhesive strips at one end which attach themselves to your bra, they are then disposable as they become soaked with milk.

They are usually made from cotton or a synthetic fibre that wicks moisture away from your skin to keep you dry and comfortable all day long. They have been known to cause irritation though, so you may want to opt for reusable bra pads instead which can be washed after use.

Bra liners

Bra liners are also known as bra lining or bra inserts. They go inside the bra cups to absorb sweat and keep you feeling fresh all day long.

They come in a variety of styles, colours, shapes, sizes and materials but they are mainly made from cotton with an adhesive strip on one end so it sticks onto your bra cup where needed.

They are a good way to ensure your bra lasts longer, as sweat can break down the fabric and cause it to deteriorate faster than usual. It’s also less likely you will get rashes or infections if they absorb some of this moisture before it reaches your skin too.

Bra cups

Again cups vary depending on bra size and style, they can be made from a variety of materials such as foam or silicone rubber.

They have an adhesive strip at one end so you stick them onto the bra where needed to provide additional support or lift depending on what bra style it is.

If you don’t want visible bra straps under some tops but want your bra to provide an extra boost, you can use cups with a push-up bra and they will add cleavage and size.

Invisible straps

Transparent straps often come with a multiway or convertible or bra or you can often find them in your local lingerie store. You’ll need to attach them to a convertible bra with detachable straps so they can be hooked into.

They aren’t as invisible as you might think so if you wear them with something strapless you won’t not be able to see them completely.

What they are good for is if the straps you normally have are a bad colour match for what you are wearing and you want the glimpses that people see of them to be less noticeable.
